Integrations Guide
Where the Alloggiati Web, ISTAT and PayTourist codes go, and who to ask for them
Contents
Where the codes goIn the room configuration, «Integrations» section
The codes do not live in the general settings: they live in the room configuration, in the «Integrations» section. It is the same screen you opened this guide from, through the «How to get the codes?» link.
Inside there are three panels, each with its own «Enabled» switch: «Police Registration», «ISTAT» and «PayTourist». While the switch is off the fields stay closed and nothing is ever filed.
Alloggiati Web (Police)Four values, and they are not your portal login
Alloggiati Web is the Italian State Police portal where guest identity data has to be filed. Vezpa talks to it through the Web Service, which has credentials of its own.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| «WS Username» | The Web Service user, not the one you log into the portal with |
| «WS Password» | The password dedicated to the Web Service |
| «WS Token» | The key generated in the portal's WS Management section |
| «Licence Code» | The licence code assigned by the Police HQ |
| «Holiday Home Police Number» | Holiday homes only: the sequential number the Police HQ assigns to that unit |
To get them, from alloggiatiweb.poliziadistato.it: Tables › WS Management. If that section is missing, Web Service access has to be requested from the Police HQ of your province.
ISTAT, region by regionPick the «Region» first, then the fields change name
Every region has its own system. In the ISTAT panel the first field is «Region», and it is the one in charge: once you pick the region, the three fields below change name and become the ones that portal really uses.
The list holds twenty regions: Piedmont, Tuscany, Basilicata, Liguria, Abruzzo, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Lombardy, Calabria, Sardinia, Lazio, Molise, Sicily, Campania, Umbria, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino, Apulia and Aosta Valley.
| Region | How the data gets there | What it asks for |
|---|---|---|
| Piedmont, Tuscany, Basilicata, Liguria, Abruzzo, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Lombardy, Calabria, Sardinia, Lazio, Molise | Filed automatically to the regional portal | «ISTAT Username», «ISTAT Password», «ISTAT Code» |
| Sicily | Filed automatically | UserId, Password, HotelCode |
| Campania | Filed automatically | CUSR, API Key, «ISTAT Code» |
| Trentino | Filed automatically | «ISTAT Username», «ISTAT Password», «ISTAT Code» |
| Aosta Valley | Filed automatically | User, Password, Property ID |
| Umbria, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Apulia | A file you download and upload yourself | Property code only |
Credentials are requested from the tourist office or the APT of your province or region, and the property code is assigned by the regional authority. For Sicily the profile to ask for is the one meant for property management software, and the code looks like TRS-IT-SIC-00004; for Campania the CUSR and the API Key are taken from the regional portal.
The three file regions
For Umbria, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Apulia there is no automatic filing: Vezpa prepares the file and you upload it to the regional portal. Once the region is picked, the «Download ISTAT file» button appears and opens a screen where you choose the period, generate the document and save or share it.
| Region | Format | Where it is uploaded |
|---|---|---|
| Umbria | TXT (ROSS 1000) | Turismatica |
| Friuli Venezia Giulia | TXT (ROSS 1000) | WebTur |
| Apulia | XML (SPOT) | dms.puglia.it, with SPID |
PayTouristTwo values, and first of all a question to the town hall
PayTourist is the platform some Italian municipalities use to collect the tourist tax. Not all of them do: before filling in anything, check with your municipality or its tax office that this is the one in use.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| «PayTourist ID» | The property identifier, provided by the municipality or the operator |
| «PayTourist API Token» | The key you generate yourself at paytourist.com, in the Integrations/API section |
When the filings go outNot all at the same moment, and none at check-out
Once the codes are saved you do not have to launch anything: the filings go out on their own, but on different schedules, because the deadlines differ.
| System | When |
|---|---|
| Alloggiati Web | The same day, several times a day: the form has to reach the police within 24 hours of arrival |
| ISTAT | Once a day, and it files the day five days back |
| PayTourist | Once a day, on the same day ISTAT files |
If something does not add upThe symptoms, and the real cause of each
- I cannot find the WS Management section on the portal. Web Service access has to be granted by the Police HQ: your portal credentials are not enough and do not convert.
- I entered my portal credentials and nothing works. They are a different thing. The panel says so: the panel warns in capitals that WS credentials are DIFFERENT from portal login credentials.
- An email says some registrations were not filed. That is the automatic warning, and it reaches the property address together with a notification in the app. Inside is the reason the system reported: once the data is fixed, filing resumes on its own at the next cycle.
- I changed region and the fields stopped making sense. That is on purpose: each region asks for different values, and the old ones do not work on the new portal.
- Nothing goes out for my region. Check whether it is one of the three file ones: Umbria, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Apulia have no automatic filing, you upload the document yourself.
- Vezpa is asking for credentials I do not have. Vezpa holds no credentials of its own towards any of these authorities: every property registers on its own and uses its own. There is no shared access to ask us for.
