Order Rooms Guide
The sequence your rooms appear in: one for you, one for your guests
Contents
Where to find itTwo taps from the Management dashboard
- From the Management dashboard, open the ⋮ menu at the top and choose «Configuration».
- In the «Rooms» group, under the «Manage rooms» button, tap «Order rooms». Apartment managers do not have the «Property details» button above it: for them the location belongs to each single room.
The two ordersThe one you work with and the one guests see
At the top of the page there is a selector with two entries. Each one is a different order, saved on its own.
| Entry | Where it applies |
|---|---|
| «App · calendar order» | The calendar rows, the rates grid, the room list in the configuration: the sequence you work with every day. |
| «Booking Engine order» | The sequence your rooms appear in to guests on your booking site. |
Under the selector a grey line says, each time, where the order you are touching ends up: «Order shown in the app and calendar» or «Order shown to guests on the Booking Engine».
Keeping them different is the point: a working order for the calendar, by floor or by position, and a selling order for the site, putting first the rooms you want to push.
Dragging and savingThe gesture differs between phone and computer
- Use the selector to pick which of the two orders you want to work on.
- Move a row: on phone and tablet press and hold it for a moment and then drag, anywhere on the row; on a computer grab the handle on the right and drag straight away, with no waiting.
- Tap «Save», at the bottom of the page.
The number in the circle on the left is the position of the row. It renumbers when you drop the row, not while you are dragging it.
Once the save goes through, the confirmation «Order saved» appears at the bottom. If the network does not answer you get a red warning instead, and the order you dragged stays on screen: you can retry without doing it again.
In hotels you order the room typesRows are not always single rooms
The list changes shape depending on how the property is set up, and there is nothing to configure: the property type decides it.
| Property | What a row is |
|---|---|
| Hotel | A room type (for example Standard Double, Suite), with the number of rooms it holds underneath. Moving the row moves every room of that type together. |
| Apartments and single units | A single room, with its name and its type underneath. |
In hotels the order inside a type is not touched from this page: it stays the one already in use when you opened the page, and on saving the rooms of each type are rewritten in that sequence, one after the other.
Where you see the effectStraight away, without reopening the app
- The app and calendar order shows up straight away on the calendar rows and in the room list: saving reloads those two screens by itself.
- The Booking Engine order shows up on your public booking site, in the sequence the rooms are offered to the guest.
If something does not add upThe most common doubts, with the short answer
- I dragged, switched to the other order, and lost everything. The selector reloads the list from what is saved: unsaved dragging is lost. Save before you switch.
- I changed the app order and nothing changed on the site. It means the Booking Engine already has an order of its own, saved earlier: from that moment the two are independent. Switch to the other order and fix it there.
- On a computer I drag and nothing happens. There the row is grabbed by the handle on the right, not by the middle. On a phone, instead, you grab the row anywhere by holding it for a moment.
- I see one row per type instead of one per room. The property is a hotel: you order the room types, and the rooms of each type move together.
- The page says there is nothing to order. There are no rooms to show yet for the property you picked: create them from «Manage rooms».
- I cannot find the «Order rooms» button. The «Rooms» group of the configuration is seen by the Manager and the Assistant, and it appears only once at least one room type exists.
